animalistic entry

2002-06-16

*yawns* i can't sleep, which sucks. i have to get up at 9am tomorrow because sabrina and i came up with the brilliant idea of going to the zoo tomorrow. sabrina figured if i pick her up at 2pm it'll be too late, so i have to be at her place at 11am and we'll drive to the zoo and wait in line while the burning sun at noon will roast us. hooray! mom said it's gonna be 34C tomorrow. that gives the whole idea a rather crazy aspect, i suppose. nevermind, i luv the zoo. all those animals that are just hilarious. unfortunately it's less hilarious if they start smelling even worse than usual due to the heat. :/

btw, if you were wondering why you didn't get one of my beloved entries yesterday...i went out again. (am i the only one who feels like a wife who tells her beloved husband that she's cheated on him with a whole football team when saying that???)
anyway, this time, i told danny straight away that i wasn't in the mood for any club or disco, so we went to see spiderman. we picked her sister up and took her along which was quite fun. i kinda noticed that she wasn't as bitchy and annoying as i remembered her. the film was quite ok. i'm not a big fan of comics and stuff, so i didn't know much about spiderman in the first place. it wasn't the greatest film i've ever seen. it's basically one of those hollywood flicks that are made to please. you get that "wow, special effects!" feeling all the time but it's not a film you want to see again and again because of it's greatness. i also thought the storyline was the biggest weakness. i don't know if the love story plays a big part in the comic, too, or whatever but i found it a little ridiculous. and the stuff with the time was a bit confusing and gave a cold feel to the whole thing because first, his uncle dies and just a few minutes later they're all happy at his school and then suddenly he cries again but all he does to defeat the sadness is to wear that silly costume and jump around on buildings and stuff. and he does all that crap to get the girl and even until the last minute he still is about to give both his legs for her and when she finally notices, he stands her up on the cementery. so, the whole story was a bit bla-bla. it's quite cool that it doesn't have a happy end, tho. but it bothers me that it's so obvious that there will be a next part. it's like an evil threat. :p

today, my grandparents had my grandma's sister visiting them. (should have known it - her other sister died two days ago and they only visit each other when someone's died) my mom went over to drink coffee with them and then she came back and grabbed MY bottles of coke and said she needed them cos apparently they had brought their grandson along. she said he was quite handsome, so of course, i got all nervous and desperately wanted to go and take a look. but just showing up there would have meant i would have to stay longer, so i was searching for an excuse and yey, my comp loves me. just then, the internet connection stopped working. and since it's not MY DSL connection program and i don't want to be blamed if it stops working entirely (hehe, i'm so good at making things look the way i want them to look) i had to go and get my mom. but it was a real disappointment. he was ok, yeah. but in the way any 'normal' guy is ok. like...he doesn't have anything about him that obviously bothers you but then again that IS what bothers you, you know? he had a face that i can't even remember correctly now because it was soooo not special. and his clothes were the typical 'nice guy from 'round the corner' style. he reminded me of dawson leery from DC. just that he had brown hair and i guess i'd remember if his face had been similar to dawson's because i find such celebrity similarities quite intriguing...somehow. so anyway, i had wasted 15 minutes of my time with thinking about what he might be like. blah!

whoa, dammit, i have "with arms wide open" by creed stuck in my head because they played it in the theater yesterday. :( ok, i'm not one of those people who think creed are the reincarnation of the evil but it still annoys me. especially, since it's only the beginning repeating itself over and over again.
anyway, i really need to go to bed now. maybe i can even finish reading my HP book before i fall asleep. only 80 or so pages left. :D
