school's out for summer (most idiotic short description so far...)

you know what i hate? people who's only purpose in life is to be part of whatever 'minority' they think they're part of, i.e. gay people who think they always have to make a point of being gay. like you meet them and go "hi, i'm (name)" and they say "hi, i'm gay". and gays are just an example. you can apply it to religious beliefs, skin colour...everything. and in the end they're also the ones complaining about being 'put down' by other people. while in the end most other people don't even think of them being different until they think it's necessary to make a point of it.
and i don't even know why i just thought of this but i did.
so...update on my life. well, the school trip (aka shopping spree) was pretty cool. ok, i was mainly walking around with annette and diana which i usually do anyway. but at some point we had this huge class lunch which was kind of nice but we were still sitting at different tables and it wasn't like there was some kind of improvement in the way we all socialise. personally, i think lunch was a bit of a waste of money. we went to this car-type-thing called "louisiana" and it's mainly famous for its cocktails. as food they mainly have american stuff which is supposed to be typically "new orleans"-style but in the end i just thought it tasted a bit naff...like microwave food. but i had a really awesome strawberry milkshake and that made up for it. we wanted to drink cocktails, too, but then we were so stuffed from lunch that we decided that wouldn't be a good idea.
btw...hooray for last day school!
i also visited my new practical work place today. as i said i'll be in a company-hotel. apparently i'm in the department that plans all the meetings and events but they'll also let me work at the reception and all to see what it's like. and i could choose when i want to start work every morning. i first thought about saying 9 or something but then i remembered that would mean i'd have to work til 5 so i said 8 would be ok. it's not as early as the theory periods. and it's closer to my home than school or BBI (theory place) so 8 will be fine.
right...now i'll go to bed because i have to get up at 5 again. must.remember.to.take.company.ID.card.with.me.tomorrow...
i just hate all this "i'm too stupid/weak to just accept myself like this and live with it so i'm gonna act over it and annoy you all"-attitude.
i also spent some money on pretty things but surprisingly little. only some new hello kitty items but they didn't cost me all that much. and two bras that were reeeeaaally cheap because it's summer sale now. i've never been a big bargain hunter and this time, i didn't do it, either. i just immediately fell for this one bra (kinda see-through leoprint) and then noticed it was only �9. so i also got a white bra which was �9, too. and then i got some useful things like new mascara (mine was empty - mascara is about the only make-up-related thing i usually only have one of).
yep, i managed to get through another school period now. we got reports and mine's not tooo exciting but i don't care because i won't have to go to school again before december.
i'm starting there on monday and i can't wait. they were all very nice and it sounded cool. ok, one woman from the reception seemed a bit strange. she kept saying how sad it is that the apprentice who was there before me will be gone soon. it was a bit like "stay away so we can keep her!". but then again...she doesn't know me yet so i guess it is ok if she's not in love with me.
