my vitriol, heat, boredom, money...

2002-07-27

well...today hasn't been exciting at all. i wouldn't say boring is the right word, though. it was just...a bit...dull. or...disappointing. sabrina and i went to dsseldorf and it seemed like such a good idea because i like dsseldorf and usually, it's always kinda...fun. but this time, the fun just wouldn't come around. well, we always have fun together because most of the time we're just fooling around and talking shit and stuff. so, it's never really deadly boring. but today it was just...dunno... we just went there and, of course, ended up at WOM (i can't go past a record store without at least having a look). and i (finally) bought "finelines" by my vitriol. i've wanted to buy that for ages but at our HMV they only had a really scratchy and used looking copy and i didn't really wanna order it and pay for the shipping, too. ok, i have to admit...originally, i wanted to buy an album by feeder but they didn't have anything and my vitriol are just as good. i also bought a copy of "kerrang"...not really because i was interested in reading it but it's such a rare thing to actually see it in the shelves (usually, you have to order it and they only order the copies that have been pre-ordered). but, later, i saw that there was a piccie of brian and stef (with a few other guys at the kerrang awards) and an ickle pic of brian in it. so, that's good. i also remembered people talking about a really good silverchair interview in kerrang but on the last page, there was only a next issue preview and apparently, my issue is the one before that. so, maybe, i'll go there again and get the other one next week if they have it.
well, after that, we went to mcdonalds and i could finally try the broccoli cheese nuggets and they were *really* yum. and then, we went home again. so, the 4 for the car park weren't really worth it. (if you ever come to dsseldorf - avoid all car parks/park houses (does that exist?) with the word "k" in their name because they're most likely the most expensive ones on earth)
afterwards, we needed about 1,5 hours to find the way home and passed such amazing places as neuss and duisburg-rahm and meerbusch and shit. i don't really know where they are but who cares?! and then, we sat around at sabrina's place for a while. but her room's right under the roof and there where at least 77C (really!!!!!) in it. so, i left after an hour and some "hehe...my toes are funny when i wiggle them...i like cows, you know?"-talking.
at home, i tried to cool myself down with ice-cream (didn't work too well) and talked to mariam on the phone again. oh, and i found out that my hamsters are indeed able to run around in their little transparent plastic balls. i thought, they wouldn't be able to move them because they're so ickle and week but it worked quite well. the problem is that i have two *cough* balls (haha!) and three hamsters. so, two have to run around in one. it worked ok, but at some points they annoy each other by running in different directions and all. and mr malibu (who had a ball for himself) kept tripping over and falling on his back because his feet would slip into the little holes (for air) in the plastic.

ewwwwwww!! "jackass" is soooooo bah! today, they've given the word "disgusting" a completely new meaning. i dunno if the world was ready to see johnny knoxville's nephew farting and shitting around on telly. o.O the part with johnny disguised as a bat was funny, tho. (if you don't know what i'm talking about, i suggest you watch "jackass" or just don't ask. :p )

uhm...where was i? well, actually i was finished because that's all i did today. well, i was hanging around the net for a while but that's not too exciting.
oh, i also found out that my job is really pretty great. sabrina showed me her contract and i get like...100 more than her. whoa! i thought it had only been 30 or something.
she starts hers on thursday and i envy her for that. i dunno...i have to sit around and do nothing for more than a month and i know that my sleeping rythm is gonna be all erratic and suddenly, they'll expect me to get up really early and work for 7.1 (yup...7.1) hours and i'll probably die of fatigue mixed with excitement. i dunno, i like being lazy but after a few weeks i've had enough of that and i need something to do. i've had more than a few weeks off now and i really don't need another month. i know that, after a week or so, i am gonna be complaining about having so much work, already. but for now, i'd like to complain about not having any work at all. i really hope that the girl who also got offered a job, annika, is gonna be there. i dunno why she shouldn't but there could be a reason and that would mean i'd know noone. this way, there'll be at least a familiar face. and she seemed nice so that's good.

right, i am gonna go and annoy some people on some message boards and then i'll go to bed or read my manics bio and stuff.
