time off work simply sucks when you've got nothing planned. don't get me wrong, i have a lot to do. but it seems i never find the energy to do stuff like tidying up, cleaning, studying and what not if there's not a *big* reason for me to lift my butt off the sofa in the first place. like...work. when i go to work, i usually manage to do at least a bit when i come home. but when i sit around all the time, there's not really a point in doing anything, anyway. how sad.

i have to go and pick a parcel up tomorrow. it's a really stupid and long story and because i'm so bored, i'm gonna tell you.
well, you know how i wrote about joining WW, right? right. so, i ordered this starter kit thingie and it was supposed to arrive pretty soon-ish, which it did. last friday, to be precise. but of course, no one was home and since i have to pay for it, they won't deliver to someone else unless i tell them to. (btw, thank you, WW, for using DPD to deliver it. the usual german postal service wouldn't be enough, eh?) so yeah, i had a lovely card in my mailbox, telling me they'd be back on monday and if i wanted them to deliver it elsewhere, i should write the address down on the back of the card and stick it to my door, which i did. but my oh-so-funny grandpa went to get his paper, came home, saw the card (and - admittedly, i didn't ask - probably only saw my name on it) and took it to give it to me later. so the DPD-man came, couldn't find a card, rang the door bell and, after realizing no one was home, left another card, so i had to call in to ask for a new delivery date. i told them to come back today. but of course, they have idiotic service times (8am-3pm - i mean, it's not like their customers have a job or anything, DOH!), so i set my alarm to 8 and the stupid fuck DIDN'T RING!!! so, i was still asleep when the DPD-man came and didn't hear the door bell. it's so embarrassing. now i have to go there tomorrow and say "yeah, you know...i managed to miss your delivery guy THREE TIMES, i wasn't able to get it sent to another place and i even missed him on a date that I SUGGESTED. so, can i have my parcel, please? pretty please?!" if i find their headquarter thing, that is. because my mum wrote down the address, but it doesn't tell me anything. then, she told me which part of duisburg it is and it didn't ring any bell, either. i've never heard of that part, i swear. she said it's in the south but i have no idea what the south of duisburg is, either. haha. i know we live in the north, though. so it can only mean that it's on the other end of the town. maybe i should take a compass with me. haha. ha.

i had someone stick up for me on the AFI board today. weird. i never knew people even noticed i was there because i post about once every few weeks. well, ok, i don't only post once. i usually go on a pretty little posting spree when i'm there but it doesn't happen often and the board has a few thousand members, so i thought i wouldn't get noticed anyway. i suppose, usually that's what it's like but today someone got really bored and decided to also read the posts of not-so-popular people and then he/she decided to have a go at me (i still don't quite get their point but that's ok) and another person told them not to bitch at me. wow. hahaha. it was weird. i made the post, then went to the loo and when i came back, i first saw the not-so-nice reply and was all like "wtf?" and then i read the other reply and went "aww!". i dunno, somehow it's sweet, on the other hand i'm telling myself that it's just the internet and doesn't matter anyway. oh well...

the tv's freaking me out today. they're constantly showing documentaries about highway police stopping people for driving too fast. it makes me all paranoid because the police is driving around in *normal* cars, so they don't get recognized. i keep promising myself never to go too fast again. but i suppose that's the point of those things.
also, they showed the worst SATC episode today. the one in which miranda's mother dies and samantha's all cold and rude and in the end breaks down and cries. i was bawling like an idiot again. *sighs* sometimes i'm built way too close to the water (which, in my case, is an idiotic thing to say seeing as i practically live next to a river. haha.)
oh, and i'm worried. i was just watching another documentary. it was about all sorts of home services. hair dressers, barkeepers, DJ's...that sort of thing. and halfway through the show, i noticed i had seen it already. it's really a sign of extreme loser-ness when you see a documentary twice and even notice it and tell yourself what's gonna happen next.

oh no! they're showing the re-run of tonight's SATC in a minute. that's how it all started. back in 2002 when i had a few months off and i would spend the night watching that show...ah, good times!
